Republicans Buy Sneakers, Too

Happy Birthday today to Michael Jordan.

Despite our best efforts, we have thus far been unable to find a photo of HIS AIRNESS that qualifies him for induction into NBA Santas. Trust us, we've been trying.

Anyway, since it is his birthday and all, we thought we'd share the best we've been able to come up with in terms of Jordan in a Santa hat.

Exhibit A

Oh snap! It turns out he was dunking on Santa Claus the whole time! He just treated our jolly old Saint Nick like he was Luc Longley's mom and they were playing scrabble. Two things that stand out from this:
  1. No way Jordan would take an opponent under his arm after a game like this, so nice try
  2. It's too bad Jordan is denied a speaking role.

Nonetheless, petty cool, right?

Seriously though, think Air Jordan this season.

Exhibit B

Again, another photo of Jordan standing near Santa Claus. SO CLOSE. If only Jordan didn't take himself so excruciatingly seriously, because then he might have asked to borrow Santa's hat, ask the photographer to take another photo, and then wait 25 years and ask us to post it to our website. Also, Jordan is holding the ball in this picture because he's about to challenge everyone in the room to a game of horse with a $10,000 buy in. That's why the kid in the photo grew up to be a gambling addict (not true).

...and finally, Xzibit

Just kidding; that last photo is not really Michael Jordan. It's John Kerry.

If you're looking for more Jordan nonsense with an entirely different tone, here's a super self-important, inconsequential blog post from a super self-important inconsequential blog I used to try to write / still try to write.

I actually forgot every single thing I had written in this before re-reading it this morning. It was a decently-cringe worthy experience - mainly since I've only recently realized that it was Wayne Gretzky who said "You miss 100% of the shows you don't take." and not MJ. How could I have been so wrong?

A quick note on this other blog: Before DMB discovered me, I was like Eminem without Dre. Regardless of my label status, I have you covered.

Merry Christmas,

Bryan
